About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our data team. As a Data Analyst, you will be pivotal in providing actionable insights from complex data sets that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. Your expertise will support various departments by enhancing their data understanding and fostering informed business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, process, and clean data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics.
Prepare reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
Create visualizations and dashboards to help the company interpret and make decisions based on the data.
Collaborate with programming and engineering teams to develop new data analysis tools and systems.
Ensure adherence to data management/data governance regulations and policies.
Provide quality assurance of imported data, working with quality assurance analysts if necessary.
Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Knowledge of SQL databases and programming languages such as XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks.
Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field.
Experience in data models and reporting packages.
Ability to perform lookups, joins, pivots, and macros.
Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining.
